Beyond the Map: Discovering God's Will Through His Heart

Brothers and sisters, if you’ve ever sat down with your family, or maybe even just in your quiet study, wrestling with a big choice—a job, a move, a relationship—and you’ve whispered into the silence, “God, please just make it clear,” I want you to know: I get it. I really do.

It’s one of the most universal human anxieties, isn't it? We look at the crossroads of life, and the options are overwhelming. We pray, we study, we consult, and sometimes, all we get back is a profound, echoing silence. We start to feel like we need a divine GPS, a clear, undeniable sign pointing us to the 'right' answer.

I remember those early days, feeling the weight of every decision as if it determined my eternal standing. I thought if I missed God’s will, I’d be permanently misplaced. But as we’ve gathered together, as we’ve been learning to walk in the Spirit, the truth has unfolded that changes everything. 2. God's Moral Will (His Revealed Will): This is the standard, the unchanging guide for *how we ought to behave*. This is what we find beautifully revealed in the word of the Lord, and it doesn't change.
3. God's Permissive Will: Now, this one can be tricky. This is something God *may allow* to happen—things that might be difficult, or things we don't understand right in the moment. But He allows it for a purpose, and we trust Him with it.
4. God's Personal Will: This is the beautiful convergence—the place where His eternal plan meets your specific life, guided by His heart for you.

It’s not a scavenger hunt for a single answer. It’s a deep, abiding relationship that allows us to tune our hearts to the Spirit’s whisper.

A Practical Skill for the Field
