Maybe it’s a favorite song, or a burst of laughter from a mission activity, or seeing a friend succeed at something they struggled with. When I heard this 'Cover Tune Grab Bag' compilation, it reminded me of those times—the sheer, giddy energy of the field.

It’s easy, when we think of missionary work, to picture the standard settings: the Sacrament Meeting, the chapel, or the living room where we conduct missionary discussions. And those are sacred places, absolutely. But as returned missionaries, and especially as disciples who understand that 'the work' is continuous, we have to remember that the field is everywhere. The field is the internet. The field is the coffee shop. The field is the family gathering.

The core of the Gospel isn't just doctrine; it's joy. It's the knowledge that we have found the living Christ, and that knowledge should permeate everything we do. This is the power of being an Internet Missionary: recognizing that your talents, hobbies, and even your favorite playlists can be avenues for sharing the Spirit.

When we feel the Spirit guiding us, it often doesn't come packaged in a formal lesson plan. Sometimes it comes through a song, a funny story, or a moment of unexpected connection. We must be ready to recognize and utilize those moments.

We are called to be disciples of Christ, which means we are called to be Christlike in our culture. If you love music, use it. If you love art, use it. If you're a talented baker, use it! The message of the restored gospel is universal, and our methods of sharing it must be, too. It's about bringing the energy, the excitement, and the foundational message of the Restoration into every corner of our modern lives.

The Power of Creative Witness

Think about the skills required to put together a performance like this—timing, collaboration, and the ability to make people smile. Those skills translate directly to missionary preparation. When you're preparing for a mission, you're not just memorizing scriptures; you're learning how to connect, how to listen, and how to tailor your testimony to the person in front of you. You're learning to be a great communicator, whether that communication is through a song, a social scripture study highlight, or a heartfelt discussion about the Plan of Salvation.
