You know the ritual. You see the cloudiness, the slight ammonia spike, the general 'smell' of a tank that’s been running a little too long. And what is the immediate, knee-jerk reaction? A massive water change. Dump half the tank, refill with dechlorinated tap water, repeat. It’s the cornerstone of every rite of passage in the aquarium hobby, right?
