Feeling the Call? Don't Miss the Blessings of Gathering Together

Brothers and sisters, have you ever felt that deep, unmistakable nudge—a gentle tug on the heart—to connect with someone, or to simply gather with your fellow disciples? It’s the Spirit doing the Lord’s work, isn't it? It’s the feeling that if we just show up, if we just keep showing up, something beautiful is going to happen.

As returned missionaries, we learn so quickly that the power of consistent effort—the daily showing up—is what moves mountains. Whether we’re in the MTC, in a mission field, or right here in our living rooms as Internet missionaries, the pattern remains: show up, study, and share the gospel.

I was thinking this week about the importance of not letting the momentum slow down. Sometimes life gets busy, and we might miss a scheduled gathering, or maybe we miss a vital teaching moment. But the Lord’s work doesn't take days off!

The Power of the Scheduled Gathering

I saw a reminder circulating about a program, "Você é Um Milagre," happening on a specific night. While the details are from some time ago, the principle rings true for us today: we need to set aside sacred time to focus on the Spirit. Whether it’s a live stream, a Book Club in HolyPlaces, or even just a dedicated time for Bible Study, these moments are divinely appointed opportunities.

It reminds me that our discipleship isn't just about the *big* moments—the temple endowment or the successful transfer—it’s about the *daily* moments of gathering. It's about making sure we are intentionally carving out time to hear the word, to receive instruction, and to lift our requests to our Heavenly Father.

A Little Mission Prep Skill: When you feel the urge to gather or learn, don't just scroll past it. Instead, pause and ask yourself: "What question about the Plan of Salvation do I need to be ready to answer this week?" Writing down one answer, even if it’s just a scripture reference, is a powerful act of missionary preparation.

We are all disciples, whether we are actively serving in the field, preparing for our own callings, or simply living our lives as Latter-day Saints at home. Every member can be an Internet missionary, every member can be a disciple anywhere, all the time. Let's keep that momentum going!
