Hondo Rodeo Fest: Riley Green Joins the Chaos – And We're Ready

The dust settles, the cattle bawl, and the music swells. That’s the sound of the Hondo Rodeo Fest – a weekend dedicated to the heart and soul of the working ranch culture, the competitive rodeo scene, and everything in between. It’s the kind of place where you see a seasoned cattleman trading stories with a rising rodeo star, both fueled by a shared love of the land, the livestock, and the grit it takes to make a living.

And this year, it's getting even better. We’re stoked to announce that Riley Green will be headlining the final night’s concert at Chase Field in Phoenix on November 9th! Green, a voice that resonates with the same honesty and work ethic we value here at Rogue Ropers, is the perfect fit for the Hondo atmosphere.

While Rogue Athletes focuses on the sanctioned rodeo circuit (PRCA/WPRA and the like), the Hondo Rodeo Fest is about something more – it’s about the community. It's about recognizing the deep roots we all share in horsemanship, cattle handling, and the traditions passed down through generations. Think branding days, late-night conversations around a campfire, and the quiet satisfaction of a job well done. We're talking about the heart of it all.

More Than Just a Concert

The Hondo Rodeo Fest isn't just about the music, though. It’s a showcase of the best rodeo athletes the world has to offer. You’ll witness incredible displays of skill in everything from bull riding and bronc riding to barrel racing, cutting, reining, and ranch sorting. It's a chance to see the culmination of years of dedication, practice, and a whole lot of heart.

Connecting the Dots

As a Rogue Ropers community, we understand the interconnectedness of it all. Whether you’re a weekend roper sharpening your skills, a ranch kid learning the ropes from your parents, or a seasoned cattlewoman managing a sprawling operation, we’re all part of this world. It's a world where a solid foundation in horsemanship, honed through colt starting techniques inspired by legends like Buck Brannaman and Ray Hunt, is just as important as a flawless run in the arena.

And that’s where our cross-links come in. Rogue Tanners ensures your gear is top-notch. Rogue Farms keeps the feed flowing and the livestock thriving. Rogue Hunters reminds us of the connection to the land. Liberty Farms showcases the cattle operations that sustain us all. We're even seeing a budding interest amongst the Stripling Roper and Mighty Roper Kit crew!

See You in Phoenix

So mark your calendars for November 9th. Head to Chase Field in Phoenix, soak in the atmosphere, cheer on the competitors, and enjoy a fantastic show with Riley Green and Jason Aldine. It's a celebration of the Rogue Ropers lifestyle – a place where heroes are daddies, and the spirit of the West lives on.

We'll see you there!
