It’s easy to get caught up in the comfortable routines of the gospel—the study groups, the temple attendance, the Sunday best. And those things are sacred, I promise you. But the Spirit often nudges us toward the *battlefield*—the spiritual skirmish where we have to declare what truly reigns in our hearts and homes. Instead, try to gently guide them to the *challenge*. Ask, "If that thing you value most, if it's truly your ultimate source of power or comfort, what does it require of you to defend it? Can it withstand the test of the Spirit?" That's the spirit of Jerubbaal.

The Guarantee of the Fight

The beautiful, encouraging part that keeps us going is the promise: "If you do fight in God, you're going to win. That's the guarantee."

Being a disciple today means understanding that we are in a war. We cannot afford to live *with* the idols; we must fight *against* them.
