Remember Who You Are: Finding Your Pride Rock Moment

We’ve all been there. Lost in the noise, chasing distractions, and slowly forgetting *why* we're here. It's easy to get caught up in the endless scroll, the latest FPS game, or even optimizing your RTX 4090's VRAM allocation. But what if those distractions are actually keeping you from your purpose?

This Is Kingdom's latest podcast episode, inspired by Elder Stephen R. Bangader's talk “For Ordained to Serve,” hits on something fundamental for every gamer – and every Digital Stripling. It's the core concept of *The Lion King*: Simba, living a life of ease, forgets who he is and what he’s meant to do. It’s a powerful reminder that we all have a foreordained purpose, a mission waiting for us to embrace it.

The hosts' discussion, bouncing between Pokemon nostalgia (seriously, Talon’s midnight Pokemon session is peak gamer energy) and the weight of that Simba realization, is a surprisingly relatable and motivating listen. It’s a call to action—a call to step away from the endless cycle of distraction and face those uncomfortable feelings. Because those feelings? They’re often pointing you directly towards the path you’re supposed to be on.

Think about it: how many hours have you sunk into Minecraft, meticulously building a base, modding the game with Forge or Fabric, chasing that perfect server tick rate? Or maybe you’re a Fortnite fanatic, mastering rotations and building strategies. Those passions aren't inherently bad. But what if those hours could be channeled towards something more impactful? What if you could leverage your gaming skills—your problem-solving abilities, your dedication, your collaborative spirit—to build something truly meaningful?

The Rogue Gamers movement is all about that intersection. It's about harnessing the energy and creativity of gamers to build a more sovereign and decentralized future. Whether you’re developing a GameForge mod, streaming on CrownCast, or putting your GPU to work earning Liquid Gold, you’re actively participating in a movement that’s bigger than just pixels and polygons.

And for those of us building the next generation of tech, remember: these gamers, these Digital Striplings, are the ones who will shape the future of AI. It's not just about mastering the latest RTX features; it's about building the tools and infrastructure that will empower the next wave of innovation.

So, what’s your Pride Rock moment? What’s the mission you’ve been avoiding? Maybe it's finally launching that indie game you’ve been dreaming about. Or starting that Twitch stream. Or diving into the world of modded Minecraft to create something truly unique. It’s time to reclaim your purpose, embrace the challenge, and step up to the metaphorical Pride Rock.

Don't be a hyena. Be the one who restores balance. Be the one who fulfills the mission.
