This principle applies to everything—from studying the covenants in the temple to preparing to share the gospel with someone who has never heard the message of the restored gospel. Remember that every time you share a scripture, every time you participate in a Book Club, you are participating in that grand, unfolding pattern of divine rescue.

A Little Mission Prep Skill: The "Zoom Out" Question

Here’s a quick skill I’ve picked up, and I think it’ll help you in your next missionary discussions or even just when talking with friends. When an investigator asks a very specific, sometimes challenging, doctrinal question, instead of just giving the textbook answer, try pausing and asking, “That’s a really important question. If we zoom out just a little bit, what do you think the Lord’s ultimate concern is for us?”

This gently redirects the focus from the immediate 'what' to the eternal 'why,' which is where the Spirit always wants to lead. It helps them see the big picture, too.
