Seeing the Harmony: Where the Bible and Book of Mormon Meet in the Spirit

As we continue to build up our understanding of the Plan of Salvation, it's vital that we see our scriptures not as isolated texts, but as a unified testament pointing to the Savior. I was recently reflecting on how often the questions we face—the big ones about life, death, and purpose—are answered across multiple covenants and records.

One lens shows the brilliance of the dawn (the Bible), and another shows the steady, reliable light throughout the day (the Book of Mormon). Both are necessary to see the whole picture.

When I was in my MTC days, I remember feeling overwhelmed by the sheer volume of material we had to master. It felt like trying to hold the ocean in a bucket! But as I got older and started serving in different capacities—from district leader training to just having deep talks with investigators—I realized the key wasn't memorization; it was recognizing the *pattern* of truth. The pattern is Christ.

Here’s a little skill I wanted to pass along today for your personal study or your next missionary discussion: When you are studying a passage, don't just ask, "What does this say?" Instead, ask, "How does this passage help me *be Christlike* in my own life this week?"
