There are moments, aren't there, when words just feel too small? When the weight of the covenant, the sheer magnitude of the Savior’s Atonement, feels too big for just a few sentences? I remember standing in the MTC, feeling that overwhelming mix of awe and anticipation. We were learning so much—the doctrines, the history, the mechanics of the gospel—but nothing quite prepared me for the feeling of singing with hundreds of brothers and sisters, realizing that our hymns aren't just songs; they are conduits for the Spirit.

It hit me while watching this recording of "What an Awesome God." When the lyrics declare, “He reigns from heaven above with wisdom, power, and love,” it’s not just poetic language. It’s a declaration of truth that settles deep into your bones. It’s a reminder that the God we serve is all-encompassing.
