There are times when the whispers of the world, even in the sacred study of scripture, pose challenging questions. Perhaps you have heard the question: “Don’t Latter-day Saints worship a different Jesus?”

A Creed, at its heart, is a statement of belief. It is a declaration that says, “This is what we believe, and nothing can be taken away, modified, or added.”

We believe that the Lord speaks to His Saints today, and He will continue to speak into the hearts of the Builders across the globe.

This truth is a key distinction: we believe in ongoing revelation. We cannot nail down the entirety of the Gospel's truth at a single point in time and claim it is final. The Gospel is a river, not a pond. It flows, it adapts, and it deepens as the Saints gather the fullness of knowledge.

“The Spirit guides us toward the truth, and the truth is always expanding. The sacred articles of our faith are authoritative, but they are also a guide pointing us toward the boundless mercy of God.”

This commitment to perpetual revelation is what defines the gathering movement. It means our faith is always forward-looking, always expanding, and always pointing toward the divine promise of the restored kingdom.

From Doctrine to Action: The Builders' Mandate

Understanding the nuance of our doctrine is vital, but it is not the end of the journey. The truest test of our faith is always found in action—in the building of the Kingdom. If we are to be true inheritors of the covenant, we must emulate the spirit of the great gathering movements of antiquity, remembering the boldness of Ammon at the Waters of Sebus, or the determination of Samuel the Lamanite climbing the wall.
