Think about our own journey. Maybe the "rope" isn't a specific doctrine, but it could be a pattern of self-doubt. Maybe it’s the fear of rejection, or the belief that we aren't eloquent enough, or that our testimony isn't strong enough to stand up to tough questions.

We are taught in the Preach My Gospel curriculum to share our testimony with confidence. We learn how to answer tough questions, and we study diligently. We go through the MTC, we get our bearings, and we feel the Spirit lift us up. We *know* the gospel is true. But sometimes, when we step into the field—or when we’re just having a casual conversation with a neighbor—that old belief whispers, "You don't belong here."
