My brothers and sisters, there are few scriptures that speak with the profound, life-altering power of the Savior’s sacrifice. When we look at Doctrine and Covenants 6:37, we are looking not just at words penned by revelation, but at a divine promise—a promise that centers on the wounds of Christ and our own faithfulness.

The scripture passage reads: “Behold the wounds which pierced my side, and also the prints of the nails in my hands and feet; be faithful, keep my commandments, and ye shall inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.”

It’s a beautiful, powerful reminder that the atonement is the ultimate miracle, but the covenant is the roadmap. But the truth I learned—the truth that comes from the Spirit and from working with seasoned returned missionaries and district leaders—is that the promise isn't just for the grand, dramatic moments. It's for the small, steady moments of faithfulness.

If the promise is to inherit the Kingdom, the condition is *being faithful* and *keeping commandments*. That means showing up. It means doing the difficult missionary discussions even when you’re tired. It means studying the Book of Mormon when you’d rather scroll through social media. It means showing up for your family and your local ward activities. It means continuing to press forward, even when the immediate results aren't visible.

A Quick Disciple Challenge

I want to challenge you this week to identify one area of your life—whether it’s scripture study, family time, or helping a neighbor—where you feel you are currently struggling with consistency. Don't try to fix it all at once. Just commit to doing that one small thing, consistently, for seven days. That little act of sustained effort is your modern-day act of covenant keeping. That is mission preparation, whether you are 18 or 80 years old.

Remember: Being a disciple isn't a destination; it's a sustained action. It's the daily act of keeping the commandments, fueled by the Spirit.
