The Unshakeable Foundation: Christ's Atonement as Our Guiding Light

Brothers and sisters, as we continue to live and serve in these challenging times, it’s easy to get caught up in the *doing*—the ordinances, the callings, the service. We focus on our efforts to be more Christlike, to keep our covenants, and to serve faithfully. And those things are vital! They are the fruit of our discipleship.

But sometimes, when the weight of the world—or even the weight of our own imperfect efforts—gets heavy, we can get a little lost in the 'how' and forget the absolute bedrock of it all. We can forget the magnificent, infinite scope of the plan.

I was recently pondering this while studying some of the foundational teachings of the Prophet Oaks. It hit me again: our entire journey, from the first covenant to the last, points back to one singular, glorious truth. Salvation doesn't come by the law alone; it doesn't come by our own merit, no matter how diligently we serve or how many comps we’ve gathered.

It comes through the infinite Atonement of Jesus Christ.

When we talk about the gospel, we are really talking about the Savior. He didn't just show up for a day; He suffered according to the flesh, bearing the pains, infirmities, griefs, and sorrows of every living creature.

This concept of universal atonement—that His sacrifice covers *all*—is staggering. It means the love of the Lord is not limited by geography, by creed, or by current understanding. It is boundless.

This is the core message we carry into every missionary discussion, into every online interaction, and into every quiet moment of testimony building. We are not just sharing *our* doctrines; we are testifying of the ultimate, all-encompassing plan of mercy.
