Sometimes, when you're deep in the work, or maybe you’ve just finished a challenging missionary discussion, or perhaps you’re studying the covenants in a quiet corner, the weight of it all can settle on you. You think you understand the magnitude of the Atonement, the covenants, the plan of salvation. You feel like you've got a handle on what it means to follow the Savior.

But then you hear a song, or you read a passage, and it hits you—a realization so vast, so profound, that it makes your earthly understanding feel tiny. It’s the kind of feeling that makes your knees weak and your heart ache with gratitude.

That’s what I was wrestling with this week after listening to Phil Wickham’s song. The lyrics spoke to something almost unbelievable: the God who orchestrated the galaxies in motion would descend to give His life for *me*. It’s humbling, isn't it? It forces you to recalibrate your entire worldview.

And that’s vital training. But sometimes, we get so focused on the *techniques* of the field that we forget to just sit in the *feeling* of it.

This song, and the message behind it, is a powerful reminder that the foundation of everything we do—the comps, the visits, the daily discipleship—is simply the overwhelming, unimaginable love of our Heavenly Father. It’s not a concept we can just memorize for a missionary discussion; it’s a reality we must *feel* in our bones.

If you take one thing away from this reflection, let it be this: Don't let the mechanics of missionary preparation overshadow the miracle itself. When you feel the pressure—whether it's preparing for transfers, or just feeling the weight of the covenant path—pause. Take a moment, and just meditate on the Father’s love. Let it wash over you. That divine feeling is what will fuel you when the words get tough.
