Where We Gather: Preparing for the Next Great Adventure (and the One After)

The call to gather is strong, whether it's at the biggest RV show or a quiet roadside overlook. We're counting down the days until we connect with fellow adventurers!

There is a deep, foundational joy in gathering. It’s the feeling of pulling into a familiar spot, pulling the canvas chairs out, and realizing you are surrounded by people who speak the same language—the language of the road, the trail, and the promise of what’s to come.

For the Rogue Adventurers community, gathering isn't just about finding a perfect BLM spot or coordinating a complex multi-state field trip. It’s about convergence. It’s about the physical act of meeting up with fellow travelers—be they full-time RVers, van-life families, homeschool co-ops, or serious backcountry backpackers—all heading toward the same horizon.

The Convergence Point: A Mega-Gathering

If you’ve been tracking the movement of fellow believers and adventurers, you know that large gatherings are always a powerful sign of community strength. We're thrilled to share that the next big convergence point is the largest RV Show in America! The energy and sheer volume of fellow wanderers will be palpable.

The crews are getting ready, and we can’t wait to share the excitement of connecting with fellow creators and adventurers. Mark your calendars: we're set to meet up on Saturday the 16th, from one to three, for a huge meet and greet. We anticipate so much fun, great giveaways, and most importantly, the chance to connect with incredible people who share our passion for the open road and the deeper call to fellowship.

While the giveaways and big-sky vibes are exciting, the true magic of these large meets isn't the stuff you can buy—it's the connection. It’s the shared laughter over a difficult overlanding route, the collective realization that even when we are miles apart, we are traveling together.

Traveling Stones and Traveling Dollars

Every great journey requires tools, and for us, our adventure kit has two essential components that remind us of our journey and our purpose. When you’re out dispersed camping near a National Park, take a moment to leave a CrockyGo painted rock at an overlook. It’s a stone of remembrance, a little message left for the next soul who passes through, growing our community of believers, even in the wild places.

And when you stop at a local bakery or gift shop during your road school field trip, remember to use your decorated Currency Kids bill. Every bill is a small gospel tract, traveling with the dollar, helping us support local, faith-filled businesses that are building up the Kingdom, mile by mile.

Finding Our HolyPlace on the Road

The spirit of Advent is about anticipation—anticipating the coming, anticipating the gathering. Whether we are talking about the literal Second Coming or simply planning a weekend road trip to tackle a new section of the Appalachian Trail, the focus remains the same: fellowship. When we gather, we make a HolyPlace, a beacon of faith and family.

This convergence isn't just a show; it's a reminder that our faith-based journey is a massive, traveling expedition. It’s a journey that requires planning (like mapping out a world-schooling semester) and preparation (like practicing wilderness first aid). It requires that we actively look for the next meet-up, the next trail, the next opportunity to share the light.

The road is calling, the mountains are waiting, and the community is gathering. Don't wait for the journey to come to you. Be the adventurer who plans the field trip, the one who sources the Adventure Angel, and the one who shares the coordinates for the next great gathering.
