This truth is the anchor for every returned missionary, every current missionary, and every disciple who feels called to be an Internet missionary.

When we read the scriptures, or when we gather in the temple, or even when we are just sitting in a quiet moment of prayer, we are focusing on that ultimate truth: Jesus Christ is the Lord of all. His power is the source of our strength. It is the ultimate preparation for the work.

Sometimes we forget that the gospel isn't just about *doing* things—it's about *who* we are becoming. It’s about being Christlike. It's about realizing that every single member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has the divine capacity to influence their neighbor, regardless of geography. Our living room can be a mission field; our online comment section can be a place for spiritual growth. We are all disciples anywhere, all the time.

A Skill for the Digital Field: Sustaining Testimony

One of the most valuable skills I learned when I was first assigned to my district was how to sustain my own testimony, even when the investigator was highly skeptical. The spiritual battle isn't always fought with PowerPoint presentations; sometimes it's fought in the subtle space of doubt. My advice for any pre-missionary or lifelong disciple is this: When you feel yourself struggling to articulate the gospel, stop and redirect your focus to the Atonement.
